Types of Bone Cancer
There are two kinds of bone cancer: primary and secondary. Primary bone cancer starts in the bones, while secondary bone cancer started somewhere else in the body and spread to the bones.
The most common type of primary bone cancer is osteosarcoma, which starts in the bones that make up long bones, such as those in the arms and legs. Another type of primary bone cancer is chondrosarcoma, which starts in the cartilage that lines joints.
